In this episode of the Radical Responsibility podcast, I'm pleased to welcome Shelly Tygielski, a dedicated organizer, speaker, and advocate for social justice movements including the Women’s March, Black Lives Matter, and support for indigenous Navajo and Hopi tribes. Shelly has witnessed first-hand the toll activism can take and has become a champion of self-care as a tool for sustaining change. Today, we'll dive into 'Discover the Power of Authentic Self-Care.' Shelly will discuss the critical perspective of self-care as essential self-preservation, the shift from individual self-care to 'community care,' and the moral implications of finding and partaking in joy. We'll also explore her techniques for integrating effective micro-practices throughout the day.
