David started as a club and rave promoter in DC, where he learned "how to spend a dollar to make $10" and how to create experience for his guests.

He then took those talents to Silicon Valley where he became a VC, investing in tech companies including Airbnb. He's now the founder of EI.Ventures which is launching a line of "farmaceutical" products — using naturally grown psychedelics to treat mental health concerns.

We explore the similarities and differences betweent he rave scene and the tech scene as well as how you can build a successful career on wisdom and empathy.
