Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
This week I am introducing my newest segment for the show called The Top 100. This will be a segment that focuses on my top 100 games of all time one game at a time - starting from the bottom of the list and slowly but surely working our way up over the coming months (and potentially years). This first entry on the list is for an older PC game from the year 2000 called Nox. This game was quite ambitious and had a lot going for it but ultimately got overshadowed by its massive contemporary, Diablo 2, which released mere months later. Nonetheless, those who were lucky enough to dive into Nox, know that this hidden gem is great game, and still plays well to this day. As well as providing my opinions, I also look at the overall community temperature on the titles in this list as well as the critical consensus. I also compare my top 100 choices with other top 100 lists from around the internet, to see what others are choosing for theirs. Tune in to hear about a game that you should probably give a chance to if you are a fan of action RPGs!
