Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
I have long been a fan of old school D&D and naturally the OSR. Over the years, the OSR has mutated and changed plenty of times as new stuff is released in this space and new innovations are introduced. Today there are a ton of mutations and variations of the OSR it is sometimes difficult to keep up and stay informed. One of the branches of play I have been hearing more and more of over the past couple of years is the BrOSR. An interesting name, but I knew nothing about it, nor what made a game part of the BrOSR. I decided to dive in finally and discover what this movement was all about. Tune in to hear what I found regarding this classic and reimagined old school way of playing the game.
