Welcome back to The Retro Blood and the first episode of the year 2024 with the boys talking all about Horror Comedy. Up, first if you like 2 movies combined into one with Mr. Freeze from batman and looks of Demon like zombie things this is the review for you because Retro Blood talking all about “ Spookies”.
Join James Kline and J. A Alison as we play a game of Ouija board and have our friend turn into a demon look on evil dead.
We start off with some quick thoughts on the film and how we like the movie, but it was like an acid trip watching it.
Then we get into our weekly History Segment where we talk about what was going on in Pro Wrestling and Metal around the movie release January 22, 1988, in the US.
In Pro Wrestling we talk about some of the History of the NWA Brass Knuckles championship.
In Metal we talk about Megadeath and their album “So far, So Good... So What!”.
Then we get into Who book this Shit!!
We talked about the directors and writers and some drama that happened between them.
We talked about the movie playing on USA network.
We talk about the original title “Twisted Souls”. We talk about this movie being half shot by one set of Writers and another half by another set up directors and why it shows. We talked about the main creatures and Spookies and yes, THE HALLWAY DEMON!!!!!
We also talked about the movie being part of a bundle pack with Evil dead 2.
Then we get into the full review with Billy and his weird woods scene. We try to figure out what the hell Duke is wearing. We talk about all the demon creatures with that lizard spirit Halloween toy thing. We talk Kreon aka Mr. Freeze relationship with his dead alive wife. We talk the creatures going from Evil dead to Zombie. We also talk the cool Asian lady spider gimmick and so much more.
So, get you and your crew kick out of a party out there in the woods and show up to a house filled with Dollar store Tombs stones and listen up to the Retro Blood talk all about “Spookies”.
