Pomerantz to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the publication of his book, Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn: A Saga of Race and Family, a landmark history of Atlanta. Gary M. Pomerantz joined The Washington Post as a sports reporter in 1982. He moved to Atlanta and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 1988. Pomerantz is the author of nonfiction books on topics ranging from history to sports to civil rights. His most recent book, The Last Pass, a New York Times bestseller, centers on Boston Celtics legends Bob Cousy and Bill Russell.
