KEY MOMENTS

  • Recruiters need to balance using technology as a tool and maintaining the human element of recruiting.
  • The fundamentals of a great recruiter include building relationships, effective communication, curiosity, and a focus on delivering what candidates and clients want.
  • Recruiters should plan their work and work their plan, setting goals and metrics to track their progress.
  • The hunt and target recruiting are still essential skills for recruiters.
  • Technology can be used to automate administrative tasks and enhance communication, but the human touch is still crucial in engaging with candidates.
  • Recruiters should be authentic and focus on building relationships rather than just making transactions.
  • Planning, time management, and self-discipline are key to success in recruiting.
  • The industry has become too reliant on technology and needs to get back to the art of the hunt.
