Although more teachers than ever are turning away from the profession, the non-profit organization Man Up Teacher Fellowship is encouraging men of color to fill these vacant roles, especially in high-poverty communities. This week on Teaching Channel Talks, our host Wendy Amato is sitting down with Dr. Patrick Washington, founder and CEO of Man Up, to talk about the importance of diversity in the classroom, the critical impact it has on the students of today, and how we can use our own voice to support change in the classroom.
