in 1996, Lulu Spencer needed a bone marrow donor. Bobbie tells Laura that she has a child she gave up for adoption. Luke begins the search for Bobbie's long-lost daughter. Meanwhile, there is a new employee at the hospital, Carly Benson, who has not made the best first impression with Bobbie. Little does she know, Carly starts putting the moves on Bobbie's husband, Tony. They begin an affair; all the while, Luke takes a trip to Florida only to discover that Carly Benson is none other than Caroline Benson: Bobbie's daughter. Back in Port Charles, Bobbie catches Tony and Carly in bed which devastates her. Luke returns to Port Charles and decides to tell Bobbie her daughter has died and he tells Carly she is absolutely not to tell Bobbie she is her daughter. Bobbie takes a trip to the Dominican Republic to get a quickie divorce. Stefan Cassadine has recently arrived in Port Charles to help save the hospital, bringing his nephew Nikolas with him. Bobbie and Stefan soon begin a romantic relationship, with Stefan proposing at the end of November. They are married at the beginning of December and decide to take a honeymoon in Greece.
