Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. 1984. When five kids form the most radical new wave/metal/pop band of all time, everything is looking wicked awesome. But they immediately become entangled with a weird lady who probably killed a guy. And there might be magical pirate treasure somewhere that they should look for but they have to get ready for a band audition and they can only rehearse at the creepy lumberyard and this fog is pretty weird, isn’t it? Also, I’m pretty sure there’s some kind of ghost or monster or something. The Lumber Ghost Mysteries is an Actual Play RPG show based on the game Kids on Bikes. The show is produced by www.actualstorypodcasting.com We took actual musicians and put them in a game where they played musicians. Albeit, middle school musicians. Everyone in the cast has performed music in public, and almost all have released albums. You can feel that come through as they inhabit the lives of 12- and 13-year-olds being thrust into a supernatural mystery. The Kids On Bikes game allows you to create your own Stranger Things/Goonies style adventure. Written by Jonathan Gilmour and Doug Levandowski, published by Renegade Game Studio, we highly recommend you check it out.
