This is a very different episode, in each of the episodes in season 1, you’ll see me ask the guest about overcoming rejection. I wanted to wrap up this season by having a very vulnerable and deep discussion about humanness and mental health around overcoming rejection.
While rejection is a very common experience among entrepreneurs, this conversation will apply not only in your personal life, but also as you move forward on your professional journey.
What better expert can we have on the show to talk about rejection than a recovered addict. I wanted to take my time with this topic, so instead of one episode, I broke it into two.
Today’s guest is a Grateful recovered compulsive gambler and alcoholic. He has been sober from alcohol for over 25 years, and has gone more than 22 years without gambling. He’s also been through 7 years of therapy, and is now a motivational speaker, author, podcaster, and recovery coach - talking about recovery, healing, emotional intelligence and life.
You’ll find him speaking at recovery centers, middle and high schools, universities and corporations. Our guest has taken the principles of the 12 steps of recovery and turned them into the 12 steps of living your best life.
