After being forced into trauma, grief, and sadness, Jess picked up the pieces of her shattered life and found a way to move forward — now she's giving back — on the page.
Her writing journey started on her blog, The Singing Widow, to cope with the death of her first husband, Justin. He was killed by a felon three days after she gave birth to their first child.
We talk about her experience with ways that can help others to work through their grief and how we can help The Justin Ayers Memorial Fund at Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center help with Victim Advocacy in our local area.
