In conversation with the founders of Tahini - Osama Shabaik and Mahmoud Barkawi as they narrate the story of Tahini, a Middle Eastern gem in San Diego.
Osama Shabaik, originally from Egypt, has a degree from Harvard Law School. Mahmoud Barkwai, a Syrian, was a law enforcement official before becoming a fill time restauranteur. It was their common love for Middle Eastern food that led to the creation of Tahini. Their Tahini journey began in November 2017 on the side of a gas station in Pacific Beach, San Diego, and it has now become one of San Diego's most favorite authentic Middle Eastern restaurants.
