News; game: calendar trivia; do you 'skip thru' things in life (consent forms, reading bedtime stories etc)?; goodbye/fun facts....world origami day...those who happen to love the art of folding paper and creating beautiful creations from paper, cloth, dollar bills, napkins, or anything that’ll hold a crease. this ancient art was originally called ‘orikata,’ and originated in Japan as early as 105 A.D. origami’s modern cousin, kirigami, allows the use of scissors and glue. OrigamiUSA, founded by Lillian Oppenheimer, has a two-week convention beginning on October 24, Lillian’s birthday, and ends today on National Origami Day. it's a great pastime during the fall and winter when we're inside more than usual...and a fun craft idea for the holidays when our houses might be filled with people and we need something to do! ashley bought her roommate a dollar folding origami book...super fun!
