Sandra Plata shares her story of coming to the US as an immigrant raising her daughter as a single mom, and taking on the life of an entrepreneur. Sandra's first work in the US was as a hostess at California Pizza Kitchen, and through her customer service skills, began to rise up in the corporate ladder. Her skills eventually got her noticed by future business partners, with whom she opened her first co-working space in the South Bay. In the years since, Sandra has built a thriving business, bought out her original partners, and created a life for herself where she has the ability to learn from other entrepreneurs, and even flip real estate in other countries.
