Sara Wallace, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint care. Dr. Wallace treats a wide range of common and complex hip and knee conditions, performing surgical procedures, such as minimally invasive partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and hip replacement, to restore mobility and reduce joint pain. Dr. Wallace also uses the latest technologies in joint replacement, such as smart implants and remote monitoring, to help patients achieve their goals.

Dr. Wallace has experience managing many causes of arthritis, including osteonecrosis (AVN), post-traumatic arthritis and hip dysplasia. She can help patients who have damaged, painful joints to improve their quality of life.

In addition to providing comprehensive joint care, Dr. Wallace is an active researcher committed to investigating the newest treatments and surgical techniques for patients with joint pain and arthritis. She has been published in notable peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Arthroplasty, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Journal of Women’s Health.

Dr. Wallace serves as the Quality Chief for the Department of Orthopeadic Surgery at UChicago Medicine. As a fellow member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), Dr. Wallace has taught surgeons from around the country about providing the highest quality of care in joint replacement.

Richard S. Yoon, MD, FAOA, FAAOS, FIOTA

Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - New Brunswick

Fellowship Director, Rutgers-JCMC Orthopaedic Trauma & Adult Reconstruction Fellowship

Director, Orthopaedic Research

Dr. Yoon began his career in orthopaedics as a Research Fellow at the Center for Hip & Knee Replacement (CHKR) at Columbia University. Here, identifying his passion for orthopaedic surgery, he dedicated himself to learning and publishing as he continued on to Rutgers-Newark New Jersey Medical School. Expanding his research to include both orthopaedic trauma and adult reconstruction, he continued his training at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases (now NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital) and then onto a combined trauma/recon fellowship at Orlando Health. Here, he was selected as an AO Davos Fellow and has gone onto become Fellows of the AAOS, AOA and inducted into the International Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He serves on the board for the Foundation for Orthopaedic Trauma, and volunteers on various committees for both the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. As a founding member of the Foundation for Physician Advancement, he cares deeply about paying it forward to the next generation of surgeons in learning how to navigate the ever-changing health care landscape.

He acts a mentor to many, and here wants to talk about career building, focus and execution both in and outside of the hospital.
