LOVING AFTER BETRAYAL SERMON SERIES
SERIES NAME: LOVING AFTER BETRAYAL BOTTOM LINE:
FINDING RENEWAL AFTER BETRAYAL
SERIES SUMMARY
Betrayal is often closer to us than we realize. It is a universal experience, as most individuals have either been betrayed or betrayed others at some point in their lives. Jesus himself was no stranger to betrayal, enduring the actions of those he called friends, despite their intimate knowledge of him over a span of three years.
Unfortunately, betraying Jesus is not limited to the past; even today, we betray him when we fail to uphold our commitments to him. Besides this, we betray Christ when we undermine the work that He has accomplished for us and when we prioritize our own reputation or personal gains over our faithfulness to him.
While Jesus experienced betrayal, his response was remarkably different from what we might consider an ideal reaction to such an offense. He exemplified compassion, kindness, love, and wisdom, showing us an alternative way to handle betrayal. Although we cannot control whether others will betray us or not, we have the power to choose how we respond to their betrayal. This ability lies within our control.
This sermon series aims to guide you toward healing, hope, and restoration in Christ, even in the aftermath of betrayal.
