I am truly honored to have Autograf on SITB and I had such a great time chatting with Mikul (who is one of 3 members) a few weeks ago while he was at his place in Los Angeles. 🎙 In 187 we got in all in discussed: •Early inspirations and influences: Mikul was born and raised in Chicago and has always had a passion for music. Originally a rock/punk fan, he went to tons of venues across Chicago and fell in love with the live music experience - it was his "intro" to what an electronic dance music show can be like. Eventually he started "Midnight Conspiracy" with Louis Kha which saw a ton of success in the bass music scene but they pivoted directions in 2014 and "Autograf" was born. A new age, pop/indie/house fusion group made up of Mikul Wing, Louis Kha and Jake Carpenter - they haven't looked back since. ⏩ •Discography: The Autograf discography is filled with incredible original productions, remixes, collaborations and a ton of variety. We talked about the stories behind how some Autograf remixes came together like Odesza's "All We Need" and Avicii's "Waiting For Love" along with original tracks like "Dream", "Metaphysical" with Janelle Kroll, "Move All Night" with SNBRN and Kole and of course their first album "Ace of You". LOVED this portion of the interview! ❤️‍🔥 •NFTs x Digital Mediums: Autograf has been on the forefront of innovation when it comes to being an artist in the dance music industry. Mikul walked us through what exactly an NFT is and how artists can use them to connect with their fans on every level. They just recently hosted a first of its kind hybrid digital/physical concert with imnotArt which showcased physical representations of Non-Fungible Tokens - super dope and cutting-edge stuff, really excited to see what they do with all of this! ⭐️ When people talk about Dance Music acts from Chicago, Autograf comes up every single time - and there's a good reason for it.
