Diana Snyder: Advocacy, VBACs and Red Flags
Manage episode 456139645 series 3599107
Diana is an experienced birth doula serving Western Wisconsin & Minnesota. She has over ten years of experience in local and national birth advocacy, with a focus on patient rights in birth, access to out-of-hospital midwifery, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Her offices are located at TruLiving Birth Center in Menomonie WI, where she holds prenatal & postpartum visits, a monthly cesarean & VBAC support group, and more. She is the mother of 2 rambunctious boys, the youngest born at home in Wisconsin after a previous homebirth transfer and cesarean. She has attended over 150 births since 2018. Diana is originally an attorney, having practiced a combination of corporate and healthcare law for 9 years after graduating from Boston University School of Law in 2011. Although she is still licensed to practice and birth rights is her origin story, these days she considers herself a "recovering lawyer". When she is not doula-ing, she enjoys running, traveling to national parks, and amateur Northern Lights hunting.
