AD Mark Soliman- Homily for 3rd Sunday of Thout. The story of Zacchaeus provides a quick analysis of how Christ approached people. There are 3 reasons one can associate with a sinner or sinful event. 1) To participate, 2) To condone or 3) To show love/light. The people murmured against Jesus because they assumed the first two. But he came to do the third. And this models for us how we are called to interact with the evil in the world around us.
