Welcome to Episode 5 of the Steve's POV Podcast. In today's episode, co-host Kim and I discuss Japan finally opening up again to tourism and we hit the streets at a local car show here in Plano to ask everyone what the FIRST thing they would do if they could get to Japan. Some amazing answers and ideas and would love to hear from you too!! Please write us and let us know!
We also talk about some recent videos I have been filming where Americans (Texans) try different varieties of Japanese food for the First time. These videos have been so popular as Japanese are very curious and fascinated by Americans reactions to some hardcore Japanese food.
Finally Kim and I sample some hardcore Japanese seaweed and dried squid snacks; Sky, my little Golden-Doodle may have enjoyed this segment more than anyone though!
Welcome to Steve's POV (Point of View)!
My name is Steve (51 years old); I am a YouTuber and Realtor (@carsncastles) and I reside near Dallas Texas.
I love America! I love Japan! I love cars! I love different cultures! I love food! I also love to have a good time, talk honestly and laugh! I speak, read and write fluent Japanese and have a long career working, traveling and living in and out of Japan and a very unique look at both American and Japanese culture.
My Youtube channel is called "Steve's POV" with over 470,000 subscribers and more than 135 million total views. I do most of my videos in Japanese (with english subtitles) but on this podcast it will be all English, all the time!
Along with my co-host Kim Wong, we plan to bring you lots of interesting guests with stories of success (and failure) to share in an open discussion, honest format. We will discuss cars, culture and cuisine all while having fun and sharing real life experiences. Finally, every episode will feature a "surprise" Japanese food product that we all will sample and discuss!
I have had so many unique life experiences in and out of Japan I look forward to sharing with you
In our first episode Kim and I introduce ourselves to you... why we have decided to start this podcast and what we plan to discuss going forward.
