As Ale Wives foram mulheres responsáveis pela produção de cervejas na Grã-Bretanha entre os séculos V e XIV. O estudo dos documentos comprovam o domínio feminino na produção de cervejas e como foi o processo de afastamento delas para a predominância masculina.
Essa série contou com o trabalho do Sergio Barra (Profano Graal) que fez todo o trabalho de pesquisa sobre as Ale Wives.
