Lilly Schwartz, a Program & Resource Coordinator at Nevut (https://nevut.org/), was instrumental on the podcast to share the importance of lone soldiers and their role in the IDF.
What motivates someone to join the army that does not have to? What are the challenges?
As a former lone soldier herself, Lilly answers all these questions and much more! We also touched upon politics (of course), and our visions for a safer Israel. Lilly is also proudly married to a former Satmar, and lone soldier. She is close to her in-laws and extended family; thus, we were able to get outside the headlines and delve into a passionate community that many misunderstand, and who are beginning to pivot on Israel and its reality. We left no topic unturned.
