Ad Astra Travelers! Welcome back to another episode of Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast. Last week, we pondered about the truth of the Geo Dragon Sovereign, Azhdaha. Hopefully Zhongli’s contract will become null and void soon so we can get some true answers. This week, we’ll be discussing the Test of Courage event in Inazuma, better known as Akitsu Kimodameshi. To start, we’ll cover what exactly a youkai is and what youkai we’ve met in Inazuma, like Yae Miko and Itto. Afterwards, our hosts will discuss Ayato’s decision to host the Test of Courage event in Chinju Forest, and the suspicious motives he may have for hosting the event in the first place. Afterwards, we jump into the event and the plethora of character interactions we’re able to have. From awkward encounters with Kazuha and Ei, to helping Itto spook people with Paimon, there is a lot going on here. Also, we have a Samara-like woman haunting us, poisoning us, and threatening us while we try to help three small kids make their dreams come true. Will their dreams come true? Or will Samara destroy them all?
