Tara's 10, Boss DeSantis, CBS silent, anxiety for Harris, Obama blackmail, war on men backfiring, weasel Walz and Harris salad

Today’s show opens with Tara’s Top 10 news items, which is how we usually open on Friday. It’s great to be able to hit the ground with 10 different news stories before I jump into my stack of stuff.

There is no doubt that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is an amazing governor for his state. We get to see how important state leadership is during a natural disaster or crisis. The governor of North Carolina failed his state, whereas DeSantis shined once again. He even knows how to deal with silly reporters who wanted to blame the storm on man-made global warming.

Ex-CBS staffers are demanding an independent investigation into the editing that took place on 60 Minutes related to some of Kamala Harris’s answers. As I said yesterday, that should be the biggest scandal to hit “media” in many, many years.

Polling inside the Harris campaign has Democrats worried. It seems the feeling is very similar to 2016, when Hillary Clinton was supposed to have been coronated, but lost to Trump. It’s so worrisome, they have Barack Obama out on the trail, trying to guilt black men into returning to the Democrat plantation. He is literally trying to emotionally blackmail the black males in this nation.

And, though they know they are losing males, MSNBC today ran a piece saying the Trump campaign seems to be pushing “maleness” as their message. They know they are losing men and turn around and bash Trump for acting like one. It’s incredible how out-of-touch her campaign is. They even have a goofy, cringe-inducing ad with what the Harris campaign thinks of as “typical” guys in it. The message is they are all man enough to vote for a woman.

That’s not the problem. Men have no problem supporting or electing a woman. What they have a problem with is being told they are the reason for all the problems in the world. They are sick of hearing about toxic-masculinity. And, I think women are sick of seeing men being emasculated. The years of waging a war on men is finally backfiring.

Tim Walz was asked about his stance on eliminating the Electoral College and how it differs with the message of the campaign. Somehow, he manages to make himself sound dumber than Harris when off teleprompter.

But, not to be outdone, let’s remind you of what Harris said to Stephen Colbert when asked how she is different. She said she is not Joe Biden and she is not Donald Trump. Then, she gave us a pathetic, rehearsed comment about work ethic, dreams and aspirations, using a lot of words, but saying nothing. All we need to remember is what she said on The View – when it comes to change, she wouldn’t change a thing.

Finally, we close with a satire from my buddy, Jim Gossett. Using a familiar children’s song and Kamala’s love of school buses, we end with a song about the wheels on the bus are coming off the Kamala campaign.
