Just Do The Right Damn Thing. That's how Brett Johnson closes every show. But doing the right thing can have consequences.

Meet Former US Marshal Robert Ledogar. A man who made his life about doing the Right Thing every day. When a fellow US Marshal is sexually harassed by other Us Marshals, Ledogar steps in to protect her and does his duty. For that he paid a price. Former US Marshal visits The Brett Johnson Show to tell his story.

Bio: With more than 30 years of military and federal law enforcement experience, Robert Ledogar served in the U.S. Navy and Desert Storm, a Master-at-Arms Petty Officer - Military Police Investigator and Instructor. He established himself as a values-based leader, centered on integrity, compassion, community, and respect. As a former Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal, reporting to the presidential-appointed U.S. Marshal and Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal, Ledogar managed missions for the Eastern District of New York, the eighth largest district in the nation. He was directly involved in enforcement, criminal investigations, judiciary and dignitary protection, fugitive apprehension, and prisoner security and handling. Supervising the most diversified unit of men and women and being part of the nation's largest fugitive task force. He currently resides in Florida with his wife Roseanne.

Talking Points:

--Military service career - served honorably on active duty for 7 years, stationed in a combat action zone for Operation Desert Storm, receiving the Navy Achievement medal with Gold Star, Good Conduct Medal, Southwest Asia Kuwait Liberation Medal and numerous awards.

--Federal law enforcement career - serving 24 years and 10 months in E/NY as a Deputy and then a Supervisor, arresting a USMS Top 15 Andre Neverson, wanted for the murder of his sister & girlfriend, part of the investigations, extradition and trial of El Chapo, receiving the Investigator of the Year award for the arrest of ponzi scammer Thomas Qualls, along with numerous awards and achievements. Being one of the top Supervisor's in E/NY, guiding his subordinates into successful careers.

--Standing up for subordinate - confronted with the reality of sexual harassment, bulling and assault to a gay female subordinate, confronting the federal and local officers and reporting the matters to management; telling the truth to become a target of retaliation and betrayal from agency leadership, the collusion of lies and false reports of criminal activity, to the threats against family and personal property.

--Fallout for upholding your oath as a SDUSM - labeled as a target and subject of criminal internal investigations for 5 years, denied promotions, special assignments, enduring fear and stress, financial debt, poor physical appearance, unhealthy living, lack of sleep and the stress upon Wife and family members.

--Life after/Book - learning to trust people again, asking for help, not giving up and helping others. Using the government against the government to retire with my 32 years of service and appealing the decision of my termination, for my USMS retirement, back-pay and legal expenses. Working for a organization as a Security Consultant. Finding peace in telling my story, putting everything into a book.
