From our very foundation in November 1887, charity has always been at the beating heart of Celtic Football Club.

Now, some 135 years later Celtic FC Foundation continue to honour the legacy of founding father Brother Walfrid by creating opportunities and providing much needed support for some of the most vulnerable groups in our society.

As we approach 10 years since their own launch in October 2013, we sat down with Celtic FC Foundation CEO Tony Hamilton and Celtic author Matt Corr to discuss some of the amazing programmes that the Foundation operate, and of the thousands who benefit from their work each and every day.

Tony talks of some of the highlights during those 10 years and of the appreciation for the many individuals – like Matt – who have gone that extra mile to support the phenomenal work they do.

In just over 2 weeks’ time Matt will be attempting the world famous Boston Marathon (his 7th marathon in total, and 3rd on behalf of Celtic FC Foundation!) as he once again dons the Hoops for 26.2 miles on the global stage.

Amongst Celtic supporters there’s a huge sense of pride in the Foundation and in the work they do for those most in need, and rightfully so.

However, if you thought you had an idea of just how extensive and far reaching the work of the Foundation is, then this episode is a real eye opener.

If you ever needed a small reminder of what it means to support Celtic and of the incredible efforts and achievements of the Foundation in the name of Celtic, then this is it.

Enjoy this episode with Tony & Matt, and if you can support the Foundation in any small way through their upcoming events or ongoing programmes then you’ll find the links to do so here.
