STARTING THE NEW YEAR 2019 IN THE WORD Resolutions or A Plan...Start with Prayer! Good morning, Welcome to Day 3 of God’s New Year 2019. We want to take a moment to lift our voice in praise to our Lord: for this is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) Lord we praise you and thank you for this new day that you have given us. From the rising of the sun until the going down of the same, your name is to be praised. We want to welcome you into our presence and acknowledge you, for your words says, “In all our ways acknowledge You, and You will direct our paths.” (Prov 3:6) Thank you for you love, grace, and mercy to this your people. We thank you for your protection, peace and blessings in this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen. If you’ve had a practice of beginning a new Bible plan to start the new year, then you more than likely have your preference. Whatever schedule you might put together, being consistent and spending time in the Word brings forth growth and a deeper love and relationship for our Savior. It’s like a marriage, if you never spend quality time with your spouse, the deepness of that relationship is shallow and that’s not what the Spirit wants. Communication is a two-way process. If you have questions, the Word is there to provide directions and instructions to give you wisdom and knowledge. If you need comfort, the Word is there to bring you comfort and peace. If your money is a little “funny” the Word helps you identify where your heart is. If your body is being attacked, the Spirit says “Fear not” Jesus bore your sickness and disease on Calvary’s Cross and by His strips you are healed.
