Classical music offers many mind-bending pieces due to their complexity and emotional depth. Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring is famously intense, with its dissonant harmonies and primal rhythms causing a riot at its 1913 premiere. Bach's The Art of Fugu* is another, with its intricate counterpoint that challenges the mind. Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, written in a WWII prison camp, blends complex rhythms and spiritual themes into a truly transcendent work.
