#083: Code of the West - The Eric Deems Show
Manage episode 311675188 series 3164974
I share inspiring takeaways from my recent time out West.
While visiting God’s Country, the freedom was palpable as well as this sense of responsibility for you, your family, and your community. There was a pragmatism of elected leaders governing with people instead of lording over them. After all, the authority of the states are over the federal government. More importantly, the authority of the people are over both. We should probably remind more elected "leaders" of this fact.
Our roots as Americans are wrapped up in the cowboy spirit...grit, determination, success, and protecting what matters. This is why resistance against Govt tyranny and overreach is gaining so much traction today, even more this time around. Big Govt is bad, and we should’ve already learned that lesson by watching our neighbors up north and across the pond. Freedom is still thriving in America even if it's hard to see in your own backyard. It’s up to us to keep it no matter the cost.
I hope you'll find the cowboy, or cowgirl, inside you…especially in these trying times. Tune in, won’t you?
