President-elect Donald Trump raised eyebrows internationally this week when he said Panama should return control of the Panama Canal to the United States if they don't renegotiate a new deal for its use. Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino shot back saying the Panama Canal belongs to Panama and no-one else. It is estimated that seventy three percent of all ships that pass through the canal end up in U.S. ports.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with William Ruger, President of the American Institute for Economic Research, and they discuss the history of the canal and why Trump is floating this idea.
