The GAA Zone Podcast Episode 61 focuses on the preview of the 2024 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final between Clare and Cork. This highly anticipated match sees Clare and Cork. Clare, run by manager Brian Lohan, aims to secure their fifth All-Ireland title. Their last win was in 2013, and they have shown remarkable form this season. Basic players such as Shane O'Donnell and Tony Kelly have been instrumental in their success, with O'Donnell particularly noted for his goal-scoring prowess. Through just six days to go until Brian Lohan’s men take to the field in Croke Park, excitement is mounting overseas as well as at home. At first from Kilshanny, Martina Curtin is the President of the Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston which is home to many with strong ties to Banner County. She says although they’ll be tuning in from afar, Clare’s diaspora will be rallying. Cork, under the help of manager Pat Ryan, is looking to end a 19-year drought since their last championship win in 2005. The squad has shown resilience and skill, especially in their victories over Dublin and Limerick in the quarterfinals and semi-finals respectively. Patrick Horgan remains a key. The episode discusses team strategies, key players to watch, and the historical context of the rivalry. For added detailed analysis and insights, tune into Episode 61 of the GAA Zone Podcast. The form must be submitted to Comhairle Laighean no later than 31st August 2024 & be approved by your County.
