Today, we discuss the identification and treatment of schizophrenia with Matthew M. Kurtz. Matthew is an associate professor of Psychology and Neuroscience and Behavior at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where he is also Chair of the Neuroscience and Behavior Program. Starting as an experimental psychologist researching learning capabilities in rats, Matthew became intrigued with the neural basis of schizophrenia early in his career. Now, he is using his knowledge to actively treat the cognitive disabilities that schizophrenia patients frequently face.
