It's not often the whole crew can get together, but join us today in this MMA Hall of Fame Round Table discussion with Tito Ortiz, Rampage Jackson, and Frank Mir as they chat with Harrison Rogers about all things MMA! So listen in to this great conversation with these MMA Legends
They'll go into a history discussion of the sport which includes how the UFC was almost completely banned and how it began to rise after the Fertittas bought it. Tito Ortiz was a big part of the rise of the sport too as he was the UFC's first true "superstar"
Harrison and the guys will also break down Quinton Rampage Jackson's career that began over in Japan and they'll discuss the differences with the sport of MMA over there compared to the United States. Is there a reason fighters don't tend to be as successful coming from PRIDE Fighting to the UFC? Does it have something to do with the steroid testing that happens in the UFC compared to back then in Japan, where there wasn't regulations on that specific topic?
As the UFL begins to take shape, the conversation will also shift towards the rules and scoring systems inside of MMA and how stalling needs to be addressed. We'll also learn more about the UFL's structure of payment to athletes including fighter insurance as the guys will discuss the various times they had to fight with injuries during their careers so they could simply be paid for the work they were putting in.
With the UFL, you'll see a fighter owned league that will completely revolutionize the sport!
