Hope everyone is settling in for this storm.

Then again, with no plans to hit I-5 for an interview with a Heisman hopeful this week, you can likely expect clear skies and moderate tempts.

Now that was a trip. Some say he’s still stuck out there on the Corridor.

Anyway, a little different podcast this week. Shane and I recorded a Traffic Report on Wednesday, right before the collective college football and NFL news cycles lost their minds. I had a few stories to write and quickly found that Shane and my efforts were a bit dated.

It also didn’t help that I spent a fair amount of my Thursday afternoon taking advantage of a little creative energy.

More on that Tuesday. Teaser: Your subscriptions are about to get better.

So, podcast: We’re going to run this interview with Dusty Harrah from 1080 the Fan that was originally going to be exclusive for subscribers. Dusty shared some great insight into his year as Oregon’s sideline reporter in 2023, his interactions with Dan Lanning and his time as an assistant football coach at Banks High School. But things really get good when we start talking about Oregon’s burger wars.

Dusty is the son of former Oregon running back Andy Harrah, who is also the former owner of Helvetia Tavern. Dusty literally came home from the hospital to one of Portland’s best burger bars and he shares some great stories about his dad’s battles with Steve Stanich for the best burger throne.

Stay safe out there this weekend.
