In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show podcast, I am digging into the importance of taking action as a prerequisite for feelings like faith, motivation, and gratitude, especially in the context of recovery. Reflecting on my journey through 12-step meetings and 7.8 years of sobriety, I share how embracing the steps in order, taking action even without immediate feelings, and living one day at a time led me to a richer spiritual connection and a fulfilling life.

I get asked about how I've learned that present-focused living, daily actions, and seeking God's will are essential to achieving the emotional and spiritual growth I sought for years in this episode. I am sharing that answer with you.

Books Mentioned:

  • Recovery by Russel Brand
  • Breathing Underwater by Richard Rohr
