When we come to know ourselves better, we come to know God better.

More than any other spiritual practice, journaling has helped me connect with God and get honest with myself. To really look below the surface of my life and see what I’m thinking…what I’m feeling…what I’m actually believing. But we don’t always know how to do that.

In this episode, Jennifer Dukes Lee gives us a power tool to help us explore deep places with the Holy Spirit as our guide. Even if you’ve never journaled, you’re going to enjoy this conversation. And I know you’ll enjoy the interactive prompts in her new book, Stuff I’d Only Tell God: A Guided Journal of Courageous Honest, Obsessive Truth-Telling, and Beautifully Ruthless Self-Discovery.\

For as we get honest with God and give Him access to our hidden places, the Holy Spirit is able to radically change our lives. All because we’ve followed David’s advice in Psalm 62:8.

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
