In this episode of The Mama Psychedelia Podcast, I interview jungle mama, Estonia Elizabeth. A Kenyan woman who has made home here in Costa Rica over the past 4.5 years. In our conversation today we dive into Estonia’s upbringing between Kenya and Texas, stepping into a role of nurturing from a young age, as well as her journey of moving to the Central America solo with her backpack & hula hoop. She shares with us her experiences with intuitive led pregnancy, how she protected her energy from the outside world’s unsolicited birth advice, and how she allowed her inner knowing to lead the way. The stories of her empowering home free births of her two suns, supported by sisters and her lover, how she traversed the altered states of natural birthing, the highest high of the human experience. Tapping into womb wisdom and her path forward of guiding women on their own journeys of sovereign motherhood.
After these raw & primal births, Estonia continues to wild mother through use of psychedelic medicines, somatic movement therapy, inner child healing work and more! In Costa Rica, she microdoses frequently to aid in her rebalancing & regenerating process during post partum. Through her 6 year relationship with mushrooms, now she's opened Mushroom ceremony spaces for people to dive into the medicine. She highlights that the use of psylocilibin in Postpartum depression is truly a pivotal tool to spark reconnection to self after birth. Staying connected to our joy is how we make it through the more difficult transitions in life, no matter how they look. Even with beautiful births, we can all benefit in many ways from the added psychological & chemical support to balance the wild hormonal experience with birth. She hosts jungle retreats featuring plant medicine & wild nature immersion that guide us back into remembering our most primal self. Additionally, she offers womb healing sessions & motherhood support sessions.
