Before we unleash our 15 favorite albums of the year in a two-part episode featuring interviews and music galore, we decided to reach out to the most important part of this show — its fans! Handpicked from email correspondence throughout 2023, our guests this week have a unique and great passion for the music of the year and the scene.

First we have the reason that I decided to get the fan’s involved in the show and his name is Chad Pabianek. His email was asking me how I select my favorite albums of the year and I answered but also gave him the tall task this year to weave through the great albums to pick just one. Next we have J. Clark, a listener that's been with the show since its inception and a true lifer of the power of this music and scene. After him, James Murray gives us a truly intelligent breakdown of the year in heavy music and region he holds close to his heart by putting a focus and spotlight on the heavy music world in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Lastly, Amit Elisha, I am so sorry for mispronouncing your name again on the lead before the interview, co-owner of blastbeatvinyl.com joins us to discuss his favorite album of the year but also his favorite cover art of the year. As a small business owner that specializes in selling vinyl to our community. he gives passionate insight in what he feels is the subgenre of the year.

Don’t miss this episode of listeners just like yourself, the community that we all live for and discover some of the bands that deserve the coverage just like the voices of these four fans.
