The Mets have a chance to accomplish something that should have been impossible. By going 17-7 since our last episode, the Amazin's are in the 3rd Wild Card spot in the NL but may have their sights on a larger prize. Tonight is the first of 7 games in 10 days against division-leading Philadelphia who currently sit 8 games ahead of the Mets in the standings with 16 games left to play in the season. Welp this has not been a good week for the Mets by any stretch of the imagination. Playing against two divisional rivals, the squad was barely able to avoid sweeps in each series. Pitching hasn't been great, Edwin Diaz has been struggling, but it's the offense that has been just awful. It's another streak in a season full of them leaving us to wonder what this team truly is.
