This Philadelphia Phillies team needs consistency with their pitching and batting. Yet, as we know, the sky isn’t falling. They are currently 7 games up in the NL East. This week, Eric Moratelli from ThatBallsOuttaHere.com at Fansided joined us for a great discussion about this team from a pitching and batting standpoint. Will we see more consistency in the future from this very talented Phillies team?
But first, we dove into sports cities who only have two teams to cheer for. Is that an easier sports life than having four or five sports teams to root on year after year? (approx. 6:40)
Jim Harbaugh offered Colin Kaepernick a coaching job with the Los Angeles Chargers. What kind of look is this for Harbaugh and Kaepernick? (approx. 14:20)
From there, we discussed some thoughts as the Eagles have wrapped up Training Camp and us fans look towards the start of the regular season. (approx. 21:35)
The Sixers now have a new forward on the depth chart. What might the French player, Guerschon Yabusele, give this team? (approx. 33:35)
We then briefly talked about how the Phillies upcoming stretch looks until the end of August, and how confident are we in this team to win those games they should win? (approx. 39:00)
What we threw down on the Table this week was a fantastic and in-depth discussion with Eric Moratelli from That Balls Outta Here over at Fansided about how the pitching and batting needs to take shape over the next few weeks for the Phillies as they look towards the postseason. Getting Ranger Suarez back is a key to the starting pitching moving forward. Assessing Bryson Stott’s underwhelming season. Should Bryce Harper be doing more at the plate? Plus much more within this discussion! (approx. 46:55)
