Just imagine, 28 days in total darkness – now that's something wild, right? Well, get ready to hear a wild journey through an interview.

In this episode, things take an interesting turn as the interviewer becomes the interviewee. Our dear Katie Sroka takes the host chair and delves into Traver's profound experience: spending 28 days in total darkness.

For those not in the loop, in 2016, Traver found himself locked in a pitch-black room in Guatemala, an event that would dramatically reshape his life. Throughout those demanding 28 days, he grappled with solitude and the absence of light, pushing his mental strength to its limits.

In that time, he battled to keep his sanity, wrestling with questions of who he was and what life meant to him. His understanding of mortality deepened as he contemplated his own life while immersed in the abyss.

Today, Traver no longer dreads death; he embraces it as a companion and motivator, propelling him to make the most of every moment in life. The darkness, once intimidating, has now become his home.

This is Part 1 of 2.

WHAT YOU WILL HEAR:

[03:28] The alternative perspective: Katie's viewpoint.

[09:51] What did Traver need to do during those days to maintain his mental well-being?

[14:39] How did the experience of darkness impact Traver after he left it?

[17:13] Traver's connection with death and his current perspective on it.
