DON'T GO BACK AND DON'T LET IT COME BACK TO YOU!
We’ve all heard the expression “a drug is a drug is a drug.” As they would say when I ministered in the inner city of New Orleans, “what’s your drug of choice?” What could the enemy or flesh make so tempting to you, to such a degree, that you would return to it? Where does the flesh want you to return to? Or worse yet, what does the enemy want to return to you? In both Matthew 12 and Luke 11 Jesus said; 43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. What has God delivered you from that would just love to make a comeback? And we all know that it’s not just crack, coke or alcohol. Obviously at my age there are some things that I just no longer have an interest in. However, as long as there’s flesh there will always be something, some sin or former sin in our lives that the enemy would love to bring back to us. Also let me add that it's not just 'sin' as we know sin to be. It could be whatever our Father has told you to walk away from.
