Redshirt junior tight end Caden Prieskorn joined GoTigers247 in this episode of Off the Boards.

Caden has been with the Tiger team since December, 2019 after coming from Fork Union Military Academy on a prep school year after graduating from high school in Michigan. Caden details his journey from Michigan to Virginia, ultimately ending up at Memphis. After playing quarterback in high school, Caden switched to play tight end at Memphis. Caden described how intense learning a new position has been, especially a position that requires pass catching and route running but also blocking on the offensive line. He shares how his basketball background allowed him to learn route running easier, but especially credits Sean Dykes and Tight End coach Brad Salem on teaching him the ins and outs of the position.

Caden talks about his recovery process during the offseason and how he enjoys spending as much time in the facility as he can. He shares how important his training has become for him, and how he feels as prepared as ever to contribute this season.

In the second segment, Caden talks about playing behind Sean Dykes and how the tight end room has helped him learn the position. He shared how his role was minimal over the past few years, but how this year he is expected to take on a much larger role. Ryan Silverfield has mentioned Caden's name twice during the offseason as someone who he is expecting to take a much larger role in the offense this year. Caden shares that he doesn't feel any added pressure from the coaching staff to perform at a high level, but he feels he has prepared himself to take on a larger role. He does not feel pressure from the outside, but has an internal motivation to be an important piece for the Tiger offense this year.
