(13:8–10) Introduction: the commandments of God to believers are clear and forceful—especially when dealing with their neighbors, that is, with the fellow-citizens of the world. God’s laws are few, but they are striking.
1. The basic law (v. 8).
2. Love forbids adultery (v. 9).
3. Love forbids murder (v. 9).
4. Love forbids stealing (v. 9).
5. Love forbids a false witness (v. 9).
6. Love forbids covetousness (v. 9).
7. Love sums up all the commandments (v. 9).
8. Love does no harm to a neighbor (v. 10).
