Also, the Super Bowl was massive in the US and here in Australia…but was it reasonable?

Rob, Robbo, and Molk return talking all things TV trends, trials, and tribulations (and we tried a new thing…but more on that later).

The huge news was the affidavit from Lisa Wilkinson proving she was pushed from THE PROJECT as her court case with Channel 10 started today, and it should send shivers down the spine of every executive and every piece of on-air talent around. In short – it confirms you’re only one speech/op-ed away from “having the full support of the network” and getting dumped.

In the US a class action is being brought against Amazon for introduction of ads to their Prime Video service. Fair, or crocodile teas? Almost as bas as the Australian sports betting companies wanting to eek out some free to air spectrum to run their own TV channels so you can see the games they can take your money for 24/7.

Did you know the AACTAs were on over the weekend? The ratings said you (and the rest of Australia) didn’t watch…why is that?

In smaller news to round things out: THE LATEST shits to Perth to save Seven money, Piers Morgan continues to be irrelevant (though will probably make some money out of Google now), and the Super Bowl delivers massive ratings in the US (and Australia) for two big reasons.

Also, we finish out with another meaty TV BINGEBOX segment sure to set your PVRs and catch-up services groaning with (mostly) great choices.

It’s a brand new TV BLACKBOX podcast, back just in time to ensure we’re topically-adjacent.
