Hey besties, in this episode we are tackling shadow work. I have been doing shadow work now for a few years. It has allowed me to be more authentically myself and have healthier relationships with myself and those around me. Tune in as we discuss what shadow work is, how to do it, and how it can change your life!

Journaling Prompts:

*Make a list of all of your insecurities. Next to that list write out mantras for each insecurity. For example: if you write, "I do not like my looks" then on the next page write, "I am beautiful". When you have completed your list tear out and burn or throw away the first list. Use your second list as daily, positive, self love affirmations.

*Reflect on a time where you held your true feelings or expression back for someone else's benefit. Why did you do this? How did it feel? What would it look like if you expressed your authenticity?

*Write about your dream life as if you were living it now. Where do you live, how do you dress, what is your career? Be as specific as possible. Think about what you could start doing today to achieve this lifestyle? For example: if your dream self dresses differently, start dressing differently! (It could help to think about who you wanted to be as a child).

*(With the support of a trusted professional or loved one only!) Take note of your triggers either from memory or as they occur throughout your day. Then reflect on them, how were you triggered and why? What healthy coping mechanisms can you implement the next time you feel triggered?
