Imposter syndrome is something that affects all business owners (even me!). It’s so easy to fall into the comparison trap of being “less than” someone else who provides a similar service that you do. But what if we could retrain our brains to recognize what makes us unique and the strengths that we bring to the table?

In this episode of Uncommon Couch, I share a personal experience with imposter syndrome that happened to me recently, why you should pay attention to your automatic thoughts of self-doubt, and the questions you should ask yourself to shift your perspective away from doubt and into celebrating your success (and the success of others). You’re not the only person who offers your service, but you’re the only person who can offer it the exact, special way that you do. Remember that!

What you’ll find in this episode:

[01:19] My personal experience with imposter syndrome that prompted this episode

[03:47] Why noticing your first, automatic thoughts of self-doubt are so powerful, and how those thoughts impact your business

[06:20] The next steps to take when trying to overcome imposter syndrome

[10:40] Three questions to ask yourself to shift your perspective when doubt creeps in

[19:43] How examining the undefined centers in your human design graph can help you to recognize the outside conditioning you’ve taken in from the world
