Prologue
Peri Chickering is an author, coach, consultant, herbalist, and leadership educator. She has worked in the field of wilderness-based leadership and has run her own leadership school in Colorado and later in South Africa and Bulgaria. Peri has earned her Ph.D. in human and organizational systems. She now lives in New Hampshire with her husband, cat, and two horses and stewards 55 acres of woodlands.
