There are seemingly different expectations about the role of the GNU technical committee by its two largest partners. Deputy President Paul Mashatile will convene the inaugural meeting of the GNU's technical committee, which will be attended by the leaders of the 11 parties in the coalition arrangement in Cape Town on Thursday. The Committee is aimed at acting as a so-called clearing house to deal with the issues facing the GNU on an ongoing basis.
